Writer's block???

To all the wonderful readers of this blog:

I really haven't had any inspiration to continue on with this blog. However, I'm not ready to give up quite yet. Whenever I do write fiction it's so liberating and I love it. Unfortunately, my stories come in random blurbs.

I am willing to take suggestions. If anyone wants to give me a fresh story idea, scenario or topic, I will try my best to accommodate it. Thanks again for reading.

I know how you feel - the characters in my story have been trapped on a never-ending train ride because I can't seem to move on to the next scene.

When I have writer's block I like to look for writing prompt exercises there are some on Writer's Digest.com http://www.writersdigest.com/WritingPrompts/.

You don't necessarily have to post on their site - but use the prompts to give you ideas and it's also interesting to read what others people have come up with.

Also I bought this book called Fiction Writer's Workshop by Josip Novakovich http://www.amazon.com/Fiction-Writers-Workshop-Josip-Novakovich/dp/1884910394

It has several writing excercises in it about 12 in each chapter - the first one was to write a scene of a story from a glimpse you had of a group of people - in a cafe, zoo, train etc. then sketch the characters in the setting and let them interact.

The objective was to make much out of little.

I could actually do this one over and over again because I am so nosey lol! I always wonder what goes on 'behind the scenes' with people I run into on the train or check-out line etc.

I hope this helps :o)

write about your future

or what you want to happen in the future

you can start where you are now and write your script about who you want to become later on
